Inquiry
In marketing, an inquiry is when someone shows interest in your product or service by reaching out to you for more information. Imagine you’re selling homemade cookies at a market. If someone walks up to your booth and asks, "What ingredients do you use?" or "How much do these cost?"—that’s an inquiry. They’re curious and want to learn more before deciding if they want to buy.
Online, an inquiry could be someone filling out a contact form, sending an email, or calling your business to ask questions. It’s a sign that they’re interested, but they might need a little more information or reassurance before they take the next step, like making a purchase. Inquiries are valuable because they show that a person is considering becoming a customer.
